- The “because of you” advertising campaign is aimed at those in the human population that believe the world is not changing. This is my way of demonstrating the world “fall to pieces” literally.
The five different areas; water pollution, farming, forestation, oil drilling and mineral extraction, are the main factors that I believe are slowly destroying the planet. I decided to make it look like someone had come along with white spray paint and decided to graffiti the posters to help explain the areas.
I really enjoyed the freedom of this topic and I kind of knew right away the sort of design I wanted. The puzzle.gif that was also developed was really fun and I would have liked to develop it more but because the task wasn’t to create a narrative, I decided to take both tutors advice and continue to sharpen my images to a higher standard. There was not a lot of development after my idea was nailed down. I just went back and tried to better focus and light my images, as well as trying and failing to make quality HDR images. I believe that I sorted my white balance issues because I took Yana’s advice and had white paper it the corner of every image, then adjust it in photoshop. Other adjustments done in photoshop were curves, masking and use of different fonts.
I am extremely happy with the final output and enjoyed the process as well as the constructive criticism given to me.
